What are functional mushrooms?
Functional mushrooms are species of fungi used for their potential health benefits beyond basic nutrition. Unlike culinary mushrooms, functional mushrooms are typically consumed as powders, extracts, capsules, or teas to support specific aspects of wellness. You may also hear functional mushrooms referred to as "medicinal mushrooms."
Are we talking about psychedelic mushrooms here?
Functional mushrooms are non-psychoactive and do not produce hallucinogenic effects. They are used for wellness purposes such as immune support, focus, or stress management, whereas psychedelic mushrooms (containing psilocybin) alter perception and are regulated differently. We do not currently offer psilocybin.
