Natural Ingredient Statement

Gourmet Mushrooms, Inc. confirms that the mushroom mycelium biomass products meet the definition of "natural." The powdered products contain mushroom mycelium and primordia (young fruiting bodies) that are grown on organic rice with water. All mushroom mycelium biomass products meet hte definition of "natural" as they are minimally processed and contain no artificial ingredients. This statement applies to all our mushroom mycelium biomass powders, alcohol extracts, and mushroom fruit body products.

Non-GMO Statement

Gourmet Mushrooms, Inc. hereby confirms that all culinary mushrooms and dried Maitake are Genetically Modified Organism free. The following steps are taken at our facility to ensure non-GMO status is maintained:

• All mushroom strains have been identified by DNA analysis and strains are then maintained by a strict chain of custody program.
• All cultures, spawn, and mushrooms are grown onsite at GMI.
• The facility is certified Organic by QAI. One of the qualifications of organic status is to be non-GMO.
• Suppliers of raw materials are required to provide their Organic Certificate where required

Allergens

Gourmet Mushrooms, Inc. confirms that all mushroom mycelium powdered products do not contain nor come into contact with the following allergens and ingredients. This statement applies to the minimally processed mushroom mycelial biomass powders, alcohol extract, and mushroom fruit body powder. Additionally, all reasonable care has been taken to prevent any time of cross-contamination within our production facilities, which is incorporated into our Allergen Control Program.

Country of Origin Statement

Gourmet Mushrooms, Inc. powdered products contain mushroom mycelium and primordia (young fruiting bodies) and are grown on organic rice with water. All mushroom mycelium strains have been identified by DNA analysis and strains are then maintained by a strict chain of custody program.

The mushrooms are maintained in our lab in Michigan, USA. The organic rice also comes from the USA. The country of origin for all our mushroom mycelial biomass powders, alcohol extract, and mushroom fruit body products is the USA.

Ethylene oxide (EtO) Statement

All mushroom mycelium powdered products are of fungal origin and minimally processed without preservatives. Our products are not treated with EtO. Furthermore, we do not subject our products to irradiation or chemical sterilization. Our products are free from peroxide, herbicide, pesticide, and fungicide.

Halal Statement

Gourmet Mushrooms, Inc. hereby confirms that all mushroom mycelial biomass powdered products are of fungal origin minimally processed without preservatives. The ingredients do not contain animal or dairy additives, or any ingredients derived from animal products. These products are not processed with, nor do they contain alcohol or other intoxicating substances. Gourmet Mushrooms, Inc. is not currently certified Halal; however, ingredients meet the requirements as a Halal permitted food.

Additionally, all reasonable care has been taken to prevent any type of cross contamination within our production facilities, which is incorporated into our Food Safety and HACCP programs. This statement applies to mushroom mycelial biomass powders, alcohol extracts, spry dried extracts, and mushroom fruit body products.
