Mycobiotic Achieves SQF Certification

Gourmet Mushrooms has been growing specialty mushrooms for culinary and nutraceutical uses since 1977. In 2024, we expanded our nutraceuticals operation to Scottville, Michigan. This month, the Mycobiotic team achieved SQF Certification — a globally recognized food safety and quality standard requiring independent third-party audit to earn.

SQF is benchmarked by the Global Food Safety Initiative and covers the full scope of food safety and quality management: raw material handling, traceability, facility standards, documentation, and ongoing improvement.

For buyers and brand partners, this certification demonstrates that a our processes have been independently verified, not just self-reported, and that we have documented controls, end-to-end traceability, and a team that shows up every day to earn the trust our customers place in us.
